Discussion

This small, rectangular spit was excavated to define features cut into chalk (on the western edge of the dry valley) to the north of Grubenhaus 012AD07060. The material removed was a sandy clay loam (Munsell colour 10YR 4/3). Two pits, 012AD05476 and 012AD05568, were defined.
